A number of payment options are available:

Self-Pay

I accept cash, checks, and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover).

Health Insurance

Currently, I am in-network with Highmark Blue Shield (including most out-of-state plans), Aetna, Medicare, Optum/United Behavioral Health, and Penn Behavioral Health.  If you would like to use insurance, check with your insurance carrier to verify your coverage and benefits.  This is important, because although your primary insurance may be with one company (e.g. Blue Cross/Blue Shield), portions of coverage such as mental health benefits could be with a secondary insurance company (which I may not be in-network with).

Out-of-Network Benefits

Many insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits, which may cover a substantial portion of my fees.  Contact your provider to verify.

Flexible Spending/Healthcare Savings Accounts

If you have a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Healthcare Savings Account (HSA), these are also accepted.

Employee Assistance Programs (EAP)

I am credentialed with Carebridge EAP, Penn Behavioral Health EAP, and Aetna EAP.  EAPs offer a set number of free counseling sessions per year for a variety of common concerns.  These may be used on their own or perhaps prior to using insurance coverage.  Check with your employer to see if you have EAP, and if so, contact your provider for a referral.
